South Indian Mixture

mixtureIngredients:
Kara Boondhi – 1 cup
omapodi – 1 cup
Aval – 1/4 cup
Potukadalai – 1/4 cup
Kismis -50gm
Sweet biscuite -1/2 cup
Peanuts – a handful
Curry leaves – a handful
Red Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Hing – as required (optional)
Salt – to taste

Method:
We start preparing omapodi,take gram flour(200gm) make a dough like chapatti dough but little smooth than a chapatti dough because press the mold is difficult to do.
Put this in the mold and press over hot oil; fry in low flame, remove when it is crisp and turns golden color; this cooks very fast, within one or two minutes.

for biscuits,take maida(100gm) and butter 20gm, sugar 1tsp Mix all items with enough water to a stiff dough and roll it like chappati; cut into small pieces and fry them till crisp.

Deep fry aval, peanuts,pottukadalai,curry leaves and Kis mis keep aside.

now preparing Kara Boondhi mix gram flour and rice flour together with water to a batter like idly batter.

Hold the boondhi ladle over hot oil, pour the batter on this little by little and let it fall freely in the hot oil as droplets; fry crisp and remove; repeat for remaining batter also. now the Crispy boondhi is ready.

Mix all the items, while adding omapodi crush and add.Then take 1tsp chilli powder and 1 tsp salt mix it well.

spread the mix over the mixture mix it well .add salt gradually.taste it once then add.

Now the home made mixture is ready to eat.

Note:

Do not  add salt individually because while mixing all the taste will be bitter.

You can add corn flakes, nuts also.
